History and origins

It was in 1956 that Orazio Gatti produced the first bottles of “Pinò”, a red or white wine deriving from the vinification of Pinot Blanc and Pinot Noir grapes obtained from the vineyard located in Nigoline di Corte Franca, called “La Fiòca”, after the sickle-shaped, south-facing vineyard. Since then, with the modesty, stubbornness and meticulousness typical of Orazio, his son Sergio and grandson Massimiliano, they have made intelligent use of their founder’s experience and, by selecting the soils, vineyards and raw materials, implementing techniques and systems and creating the best structures, aided by people highly skilled in wine-making, they are in constant search of top quality.
